Greetings and Salutations
Hey everyone, I’m Donna! If you’re reading this then odds are you’re in my inner circle and have been for some time so you already know my name. And perhaps 874 other details about me. If not, welcome! I fully endorse your random blog reading proclivities and hope you enjoy this peek down the rabbit hole that is my life. On the surface it looks very much like the lives of many, dare I say most others. Southern white girl, late thirties, kiddos, office job, mid size SUV. I like starbucks. And Kendra Scott jewelry. And leggings. And scarves. I tried lipsense when everyone else did and depend on amazon to handle a lot of my adulting. I hate spanx and more so how necessarily evil they are. I loved the Twilight novels when they came out even though I was WAY too old to read them. In a word, basic. On the surface that is. Before you bail though just know, there is a smorgasbord of details under the surface that I hope will delight or at the very least entertain you.
I’m gonna kick off my content with some throwback material from 2016 up until now. Partly because it beefs up my portfolio and makes me look more creative than I may actually be. Mostly though, because it was at that time in my life that I took a hobby, a thing I liked to think I could do well, and turned it into a coping mechanism. Writing my experience down and contemplating whether or not to share it with anyone. I believe that experience and those feelings deserve a little time in the limelight of your backlit screen. I’m going to cover all manor and mood of topic in this blog. Even the uncomfortable ones. Even the ones I hope my mother never reads. The ones that will make my teenaged daughters cringe in embarrassment one very fine day. If it feels like I am bouncing around all over the place, I am. That’s a regular Tuesday for me though and I suspect for many of you as well. I hope you like it. If you don’t I hope I’ve made it to a place where that is completely ok.
